Yet more excitement!!!!!

Just a quick update as I'm very very excited. I've picked some turnips today as they were getting quite big. I made them into spicy turnip soup, yummy! I've got flowers on my potatoes, tomatoes and chillies now as well as my peas. I've actually got a pea pod forming too. So yes, I'm very excited that my months of digging and weeding is finally paying off!!!!

    Hi You are doing really well for your first allotment, growing so much from the looks of your list and your photos. Good luck for the rest of the year, I'm sure you'll have no trouble producing a great harvest.

    It's so exciting when you start harvesting isn't it? At the moment all I'm getting are strawberries, but they're very tasty!

    Aren't your turnips early? My roots are all progressing well too but nowhere near harvesting yet. I am planning to plant some turnip greens later this season, which are said to make a good late salad crop.
